Successful treatment of complex cases

Sometimes patients come to us with a combination of dental issues, such as missing teeth, decayed teeth, a bad bite, gum disease and broken-down dental work. They have been too afraid of the dentist to get their teeth addressed earlier, or they have had poor dentistry and are not sure how to get it fixed.

We have helped hundreds of patients with complex issues to regain full oral health and function.

Gentle, comfortable treatment

Full-Mouth RehabilitationOur doctors have a gentle touch and will keep you comfortable throughout your treatment. When possible, we use conservative, minimally invasive procedures and technology that give little to no post-treatment discomfort.

Our doctors and staff are friendly and caring and will listen to your concerns at all times, answering any questions you have. They will clearly explain all procedures ahead of time.

Saving your teeth

Wherever we can, we will save your teeth. Sometimes the more healthy option is to extract badly decayed teeth. Our doctors will advise you on what would be best for your situation.

Repairing full function

Full-Mouth Rehabilitation

An important part of a full-mouth rehabilitation is making sure the bite is aligned. Above, Dr. Nosti using our T-Scan® to record the patient’s bite.

About 90% of the patients who come to us for a full-mouth rehabilitation have destroyed their TMJ, the jaw joint. If this is not also addressed, a patient will continue to experience pain or chewing problems even after their teeth have been restored. We use advanced diagnostic and treatment technology to return full function to the TMJ and repair the bite (how the teeth come together).

On more complex treatment the doctors will plan cases together.

Restoring a mouth to proper function, health and esthetics in a way that also lasts requires thorough planning and careful treatment. Our doctors collaborate on more complex cases, even bringing in their partner specialists if needed.

They do various diagnostic tests of your jaw and mouth, take impressions and measurements, and a dental CT scan (3D X-rays), as needed. They plan each step of treatment ahead of time using study models and 3D software.

Full-Mouth Rehabilitation procedures

facebow-1

Dr. Nosti uses a facebow to aid in correcting a person’s bite so it is fully comfortable.

A full-mouth rehabilitation can include a wide variety of procedures. Typical procedures we use include:

  • Dental Implants to replace missing teeth using crowns, dental bridges or dentures.
  • High-quality, durable and aesthetic Porcelain Crowns to restore the integrity of the tooth, to strengthen it or to improve the bite (how the teeth come together).
  • Porcelain Onlays and Inlays—An onlay covers the cusps of the tooth and an inlay is inside the cusps. They are a very conservative alternative restoration for a moderately broken-down or decayed tooth.
  • Porcelain Veneers

  • Durable tooth-colored fillings.
  • Root Canal Therapy to save a dead tooth.
  • Gum Disease Treatment, vital for saving teeth.

Success Stories

Dr FamerOver the last few years it became evident that I needed a dental makeover. My teeth were worn down, and the progression was getting worse in my mid-fifties.
But who was I going to let do it? I am a dentist that practices half the country away in Kansas and I work with Dr. Nosti in Continuing Education and I knew his attention to detail, his eye for smile design and his unparalleled experience with making the teeth function well and in harmony with the entire system. He also uses a world class dental lab that has the rare ability to make teeth look like teeth and not chicklets.
So I chose to travel to New Jersey twice to have him do my makeover/rehabilitation. I could not be happier with my smile and the way my teeth function. My jaw joints are healthier, my facial muscles are more relaxed AND I look arguably 10 years younger.

“Over the last few years, I had noticed a significant amount of wear on my anterior (front) teeth. I was aware that I was a “teeth grinder”. My wife constantly complained how disturbing my habit could be. I began to become more self-conscious about how worn my teeth were becoming. My teeth were becoming shorter and flatter. It felt as though it was giving me a more aged appearance. Subconsciously, my self-esteem was beginning to suffer. As a dentist, I knew I needed to act before things became painful.

I become acquainted with Dr. Nosti while attending his Clinical Mastery Series lectures. He is a highly regarded dental lecturer, and a frequent contributor to numerous dental journals about treating complex dental cases. During our courses, I learned so much about complex dental issues. I was impressed with Dr. Nosti’s experience and attention to detail. His extensive library of before and after pictures, provided me with a glimpse of how awesome things could be.

I knew that I eventually needed to have my dental issues addressed. As a dentist, I was busy and put my dental needs on the back burner. One day, we were doing some photography training at my office. I volunteered to be the subject, so my staff could get practice taking a series of photos to share with our patients. After seeing my photos and hearing my teams comments about my old looking teeth, I decided it was time to do something. There was only one person who I would trust to do my case. I contacted Dr. Nosti and told him I was ready restore my smile.

I cannot say enough about the experience of working with Dr. Nosti. From the planning stage to the cementation of the crowns, everything was handled so professionally. With his experience, he knew the questions to ask. Things that I hadn’t even thought about were discussed. I am beyond satisfied with how things turned out. Not only was my smile restored, but so with my confidence.

Having gone through the process, I am even more comfortable discussing this with my own patients now. I am even more passionate about helping my patients the same way Dr. Nosti helped me. I will forever be indebted to Dr. Nosti for so many things!!”

"Functional esthetic is very important to me, especially as dentist that has been practicing for over 25 years in cosmetic and implant dentistry.
I have had "piece meal" dentistry done by colleagues over the years. My teeth continue to wear down and would soon affect its function.
I've been searching for a dentist that had the same level of care, skill and attention to detail. This lead to the one and only perfect choice...Dr. John Nosti. He executed my full mouth reconstruction with precision and perfection.
Thank you John... I now have a beautiful and functionally sound smile.
