Long-lasting dentures with natural, lifelike aesthetics

anna

Anna, a patient of Advanced Cosmetic and General Dentistry, loves her new smile!

Our doctors create great-fitting, esthetically pleasing dentures. We use Ivoclar Vivadent dentures as they offer the most lifelike dentures available and are crafted using advanced materials to ensure an enhanced appearance and durable wear.

Precisely fitted for comfort and stability

Our doctors take measurements and impressions of your mouth and facial features to ensure an esthetic, pleasing look and precise fit. They use Ivoclar’s Smile Design Kit to create a smile that is personalized just for you.

Vivadent dentures uses a patented technique that ensures a precise fit for more comfort and better stability. In conventional processing of dentures, the acrylic denture base shrinks. This shrinkage can cause warping that leads to sore spots and a loose denture.

Natural-looking teeth that match your face

Dentures - Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry

Our dentures can provide gender-specific tooth shapes and colors that compliment each individual patient.

Unlike some dentures, our dentures are designed to look like real teeth. When designing dentures we take into account:

  • The colors and surface texture of the teeth
  • The shape of the teeth
  • The arrangement of the teeth
  • The gender, age and personality of the patient

The dentures are designed to look like natural teeth by replicating the depth and beauty of natural teeth.

Superior materials

Patients can choose from a variety of materials, including high-grade acrylics and resins that resist wear, chipping, cracking and staining.

Vivadent dentures are processed using the healthiest methods to ensure no carcinogens remain in the acrylic or resin.

Stain resistance with antibacterial properties

The materials Vivadent dentures use resist staining and plaque accumulation, preventing odors from bacteria growth for years after their fabrication.

Our Denture creation procedure

Designing your new smile

In your first visit, the doctor will examine your gum tissue, bone structure and any existing teeth. He may take X-rays. He takes impressions of your mouth and measurements of your facial features using Ivoclar’s Vivadent Smile Design Kit.

In certain situations it may be necessary to take an impression that captures the natural movements of your mouth and a bite registration, which is used to determine the relationship between the upper and lower jaws.

Our doctors use the information to design your new smile so that your new teeth fit well and esthetically compliment your facial features.

Choosing your new teeth

You and the doctor make the final selection of the shape and shade of your new teeth based on the esthetic guidelines established in the design stage. We offer three levels of tooth qualities to fit every budget for you to choose from.

We then send full instructions to the lab so that your dentures can be fabricated.

Extractions?

In some cases, patients need extractions. Our doctors gently remove the decayed teeth and place immediate dentures while your permanent dentures are being created. You may need additional time for your mouth to heal and the swelling to subside before your final denture will fit properly.

Finalizing your new teeth

DenturesYou will have the opportunity to see exactly how your new smile will look before cementing the new denture teeth in their acrylic base. Your teeth are set in a wax base that is inserted into your mouth. You decide if the color, size and tooth arrangement meet with your approval.

Once you are satisfied and you have given the dentist your approval, your new denture is completed using Vivadent’s patented injected press processing technique to ensure precision fit, more comfort and better function.

Finalizing the fit

As the last step of the new smile process you and the doctor will review the fit of your new dentures. In some cases slight adjustments are necessary to ensure an accurately fitting denture and a natural smile.

You’ll also have a follow-up appointment to check the fit and make any adjustments after your dentures have been worn for a while.

Denture Stabilization

Dentures - Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry

Two dental implants can help stabilize your denture.

Snap-on Dentures

The more implants used, the greater the stabilization, and the more natural we can make your dentures look.

For even greater security and comfort, we can place two or more dental implants per arch to stabilize your dentures. This eliminates the need for adhesives.

Dental implants are inserted into your jaw and fitted with balls that attach to snaps fitted into your dentures. Two implants per arch assists in stabilizing your dentures. The more implants we put in, the greater the stabilization and the more natural we can make your dentures look, until we can do away with the upper palate and sides and make it look the teeth are emerging from your own gums.

 Patient Testimonials

“I needed to have a tooth pulled and it was time to decide whether to get dental implants or add another tooth to my existing partial denture. Having worn a partial denture for most of my 40+ years, I had become used to it and never seriously considered going through the time and expense involved with getting dental implants. A friend of mine convinced me to look into them, and I did.

“I now have a full upper plate mounted with six implants. I love it! It looks so natural that people I see on a daily basis had no idea that I had received implants and a partial denture. They just told me I looked great, and asked me if I done something new with my hair.

“I had initially started treatment with a different dentist, but I left him because I was unhappy with his services. Dr. Nosti made the entire process as painless and stress free as possible, and I wish I had chosen an implant-supported denture years ago.” – Kim
