When an Emergency Happens
Pain Treatment
Our priorities are to get you out of pain, fix any immediate issues, and treat any infection. Then we’ll create a treatment plan for any longer-term repair that’s needed at Dr. John Nosti.
Our friendly and caring staff will make you feel welcome and put you at ease. Your doctor will listen to your concerns, answer any questions you have, and explain clearly what needs to be done.
Knocked Out Teeth
If a tooth has been knocked out, rinse your mouth, rinse the root if dirty, and try placing the tooth gently back in the socket. Don’t touch the root at all. Once back in, bite gently on the tooth using a handkerchief placed between the upper and lower teeth until seen by a dentist.
If you aren’t able to do this, place the tooth between your cheek and gums, or in milk. It is important to keep it moist at all times.
A tooth re-implanted by you or a dentist within an hour of injury has the greatest chance of success. If no dentist is available, an emergency room can also treat your knocked-out tooth.
